The grapes are selected with extreme care from the best San Giovese grapes and a good proportion of Cabernet. After 2 years of aging it is transferred into oak barriques for between 12 and 15 months thereafter it is bottled and laid flat away from the to finish its maturation for a further 8 months. With this procedure of aging it gives the wine body, consistence with a elevated persistence of taste. Intense red in colour with the aromas of red fruits which combine excellently with the taste of oak. It has a warm and intense effect in the mouth. Excellent with red meats, pork, lamb, grilled or roast meats, also with beef stews or mature cheeses.
