IGT Barricato "stibbio"
Stibbio takes its name from the land surrounding the farmhouse, which displays a bold and rounded profile, much like the taste of this wine.
Made primarily from Sangiovese, with a high concentration of Cabernet, it undergoes maturation in barrique for 12-18 months.
The aging continues in large barrels for 12 months without any filtration and is further refined in the bottle for another 8 months in spaces shielded from light.
It has an intense, clear red color, with hints of red berry fruit that elegantly blend with the slightly toasted aroma of oak.
A full-bodied, consistent wine with a long-lasting aftertaste. It pairs excellently with fatty meats, pork, lamb, roasts, as well as beef stews or aged cheeses.
